San Gold is an emerging gold producer and the Company has nearly tripled its audited resource ounces since it acquired the Rice Lake Mine in 2004 (from 550,000 ounces to 1.6 million ounces). The Company initiated production in August 2006 and currently produces ore from two mines. Ore is mined from the original Rice Lake Mine and the newly developed SG-1 mine located 3 kilometres east of the Rice Lake Mine. The Company is currently planning development of a third mine on the newly discovered Cartwright deposit 2 kilometres to the west of the Rice Lake Mine.
