Carfinco Income Fund (“Carfinco” or the “Fund”), Canada’s leading automotive specialty finance income fund, today announced its financial results for the first quarter of 2010. Carfinco achieved net earnings of 15 cents per unit in the first quarter of 2010.

The Fund recorded net earnings of $3.6 million in the first quarter of 2010, 37.1% higher than the previous record of $2.6 million reached in the fourth quarter of 2009. This continues a trend of record breaking quarterly earnings for the Fund: $1.8 million, $2.2 million, $2.6 million and $3.6 million respectively for the last four quarters.
