Grahame Arnould - Conrad Black at the Tailor

Grahame Arnould was born in New York City in 1958. Through a quirk of fate however, he has always been Canadian. Some 19 years later, he doodled his way through economics at Queen's University in Kingston, Ontario. After graduating, more doodling ensued including writing some gags for one of the cartoonists at The New Yorker. He soon landed a job as a Toronto advertising copywriter and illustrator. It quickly became clear that all his best ads were cartoons as many went on to win awards in Canada, The U.S., Germany and Austria.

Since 1992, Grahame has been living in Vancouver where he writes and draws both gag and political cartoons. His work is distributed through The New York Times Syndicate and The Illustration Source. He also creates a regular editorial cartoon for The Georgia Straight, one of North America's most successful news and entertainment weeklies. Lately, he has strayed into the world of optical illusions creating what he describes as pure 'visual concepts'. His work can be seen at ArnouldArt.com.
