Grid Metals Corp. is the latest new listing on the TSX Venture Exchange, having previously traded as Mustang Minerals, under the symbol “MUM”.

The company owns the mineral rights to the Makwa Nickel Property and the Mayville Property both located in the Bird River Greenstone Belt, approximately 145 kilometres from Winnipeg, Manitoba.

In 2018 the company acquired the Mayville Lithium Property from Tantalum Mining Corporation of Canada Ltd and a drill program is underway targeting a lithium and rare metal bearing pegmatite, one of four known to be on the property.

The project consists of two open pit NI 43-101 resources containing nickel copper platinum group metals and cobalt mineralization.

A preliminary economic assessment (“PEA”) was completed in April 2014 and authorized by Roscoe Postle Associates Inc.

Based on the PEA the project is designed as a blast and haul open pit operation with ore hauled to a mill at the Mayville site.

A flotation circuit producing separate copper and nickel concentrates would be produced.

Tantalum Mining Corp. has a mill facility in the area and the right to buy products produced from the property.

The company also controls mineral rights at the East Bull Lake Property west of Sudbury prospective for PGM and the Bannockburn Nickel Property near Matachewan, Ontario.

Robin Dunbar, President and CEO, stated: “We believe that the name change to Grid will reflect the focus of Company’s property portfolio and its strong weighting on the key battery metals notably nickel. Our Manitoba Bird River portfolio provides exposure in addition to nickel to copper, lithium, platinum group metals and cobalt in a global environment of increasing demand, strengthening prices and market focus on these key commodities.”

The shares are trading at $0.175.
