Secova Metals and Tres-Or Resources announced gold assay results from the Duvay-Chenier Gold Project in Quebec.

Secova is exploring the Duvay-Chenier Property, located 15 kilometres northeast of Amos, Quebec, under an option agreement with Tres-Or to earn a 65% interest by completing expenditures of $3.25 million by December 31, 2018.

Tres-Or is the operator, providing logistical, technical, and geologic, and reporting services.

The Northern shear zone results are the first results from Secova’s Phase I exploration program, which consists of 20 drill holes totalling 3,207 metres, and testing 3 main target areas.

The company also collected quartz vein grab samples from the Grenadier gold occurrence which is located 2.5 kilometres southeast of Duvay, and is waiting for the results of approximately 1,000 additional samples from both the drill and grab sample programs.

The most significant results from the Northern shear zone were obtained in hole DUV17-01, which intersected 5.4 metres of gold bearing deformed quartz vein material as well as substantial concentrations of sulfides and black schist.

The best intercept was 2 metres of 2.55 grams per tonne gold.

Hole DUV17-05 was drilled from the same collar location as DUV17-01 and intersected a correlative 4.5 metre zone of deformed quartz vein, black schist and minor sulfides.

Determination of the true thickness and three-dimensional orientation of the deformed quartz zone requires additional drill intersections.

A second style of gold mineralization was intersected in the northern shear zone by drill hole DUV17-03, 450 metres to the west of DUV17-01, which intersected locally sulfide-rich pods between 30 and 65 metres in depth, carrying gold up to 0.42 grams per tonne over 3.0 metres from 43.50 to 46.50 metres in depth.

Laura Lee Duffett, Tres-Or's President, stated: "We are very pleased with the gold assay results from the northern shear zone as they show mineralization extends 300 to 400 metres north of the Duvay Main Shear and Zone Principal where most of the historic work and high gold values are located."

Historical gold results from the Duvay occurrence returned samples up to:
• 402 grams per tonne over 0.36 metres
• 76.8 grams per tonne over 0.46 metres, and
• 34.6 grams per tonne over 0.46 metres.

Drilling and test pitting by Tres-Or supports this potential, with the best analytical drill results of:
• 83.19 grams per tonne gold over 1.0 metre,
• 5.22 grams per tonne gold over 1.0 metre, and
• 8 other intervals between 0.42 grams per tonne and 1.93 grams per tonne, for intervals between 1 and 7 metres.

Small, 10 tonne bulk samples were excavated and processed by Tres-Or in a test plant built at the Duvay site.

The richest pit test yielded a grade of 0.77 grams per tonne gold from 10 tonnes, with concentrate values averaging 369.43 grams per tonne gold.
