Today’s feature company is Xplore Resources which recently began trading on the TSX Venture Exchange under the symbol “XPLR” following its Qualifying Transaction with capital pool company “Von Capital”.

Xplore is a resource exploration company engaged in the business of exploring copper and gold properties in established, low risk jurisdictions.

The Valk Property is located in northeastern Vancouver Island, 27 kilometers northwest of Port Hardy, British Columbia.

The property covers 1,614 hectares and extends approximately 4 kilometers north and 4.8 kilometers west.

The east and northeastern area of the property has been extensively logged.

Work carried out during the 1990s consisted of prospecting and exploration including various
geochemical and geophysical surveys over the property area, which identified anomalous copper and vanadium mineralization in rock and soil samples.

The Valk Property is prospective for both vanadium and copper as indicated by a 3 kilometer long and 1 Kilometer wide vanadium and copper in-soil anomaly.

This anomaly opens to both the west and east of the property and is evidenced by 121 soil samples with greater than 500 parts per million vanadium, 602 soil samples between 300 and 500 parts per million vanadium and 147 soil samples with greater than 50 parts per million copper.

Upon closing of the asset purchase agreement, Xplore paid $50,000 and issued 1.5 million shares.

The company is required to pay an additional $100,000, issue 5 million shares and perform $800,000 in expenditures on the project staged over 3 years.

Wes Hanson, P. Geo., CEO, stated: “The Valk Project occurs on strike from the historic Island Copper mine and surface soil and rock sampling has identified anomalous copper grades along a 1000 meter wide, northwest trending corridor that has been traced over a 3.0 kilometer strike length. This district of British Columbia has seen renewed staking and exploration activity of late and our first task will be to evaluate various exploration strategies to evaluate the potential of Valk. I am confident that our management team is well suited to the challenges that lie ahead and look forward to what the future holds”

The company recently closed a non-brokered private placement, raising gross proceeds of $858,000 from the placement of 8,580,000 units priced at $0.10 per unit.

Xplore’s shares are trading at $0.09.
