Global Battery Metals, a mineral exploration company with a focus on metals that make up and support the rapid evolution to battery power, has announced a non-brokered private placement.

The company is looking to raise gross proceeds of up to $500,000 from the placement of up to 5 million units priced at $0.10 per unit.

The units consist of 1 share and 1 warrant, with each warrant exercisable at $0.15 for 24 months.

The shares are currently trading at $0.105.

The net proceeds will be used for project evaluation and general working capital.

The company has an option to acquire up to 90 per cent of the 52,900 hectare North-West Leinster lithium property located southwest of Dublin, Ireland.

Target areas along the west margin of the Leinster Massif Regional stream sediment surveys showed anomalous lithium up to 501 parts per million.

Work has confirmed the presence of pegmatites and aplites with anomalous lithium values in the northern and northeastern part of the massif.

The company also has a 55-per-cent stake in the Peru-based Lara copper property, which has over 10,000 metres of drilling.

Global Battery has optioned this property to a Peruvian mining company for staged payments of US$5.75 million, with Global Battery also retaining a 0.75-per-cent NSR.

The company recently began test drilling at the Michigan based Sawyer camp, a prospective nickel, copper property located approximately 50 km to the south of Lundin Mining’s Eagle Mine.

Global intends to drill up to three 250 meter core holes.
