Battery Mineral Resources, a Canadian-based, multi-commodity resource company, is one of the latest new listings on the TSX Venture Exchange, trading under the symbol “BMR”, following its qualifying transaction with Capital Pool Company Fusion Gold.

The company is engaged in the discovery, acquisition and development of battery metals and precious metals projects in Canada, with additional cobalt, lithium and graphite projects in the United States and South Korea.

The company currently controls a district scale land package, the Cobalt District Exploration Project, consisting of about 2,400 square kilometres in the Cobalt Embayment, located west of the historic silver mining town of Cobalt and north of the Sudbury Basin.

The claims cover a significant proportion of the Cobalt Embayment that hosts both the Gowganda and Cobalt Mining Camps, which traces its extensive history back to the early 1900s.

The properties are extensive and encompass a multitude of showings, old workings such as trenches, pits and underground developments, and past-producing mines.

From September 2017 until September 2020, the company completed a total of 186 diamond drillholes for 219,000 metres on five projects: McAra, Gowganda, Fabre, Shining Tree and Elk Lake.

This drilling was primarily focussed on the follow-up of known surface cobalt occurrences and has provided more definition on the spatial distribution of cobalt mineralization for each of these targets.

These projects host additional cobalt prospects to be drill tested during the next drill campaign.

A Mineral Resource Estimate, produced in March 2020 for the McAra Project, reported 1,124,000 cobalt equivalent lbs in the Measured and Indicated category and another 216,000 cobalt equivalent lbs in the Inferred category.

The company intends to develop a centralised processing plant to treat cobalt ore from multiple small cobalt mines and to produce cobalt concentrate, refined cobalt products and other base metals.

In addition, Battery owns approximately 89.2% of ESI Energy Services, Inc., a pipeline equipment rental and sales company with operations in Leduc, Alberta and Phoenix, Arizona.

The shares are currently bid at $0.40, with no shares offered and no shares traded.
